THE AUSTRALIAN AUTO-SPORT ALLIANCE INC
Why the Australian Auto-sport Alliance?
The formation of the Australian Auto-sport Alliance heralds a new approach to the participation in and management, staging and promotion of motorsport in Australia.
The Australian Auto-sport Alliance has been structured to avoid large overheads and its approach is one of being "lean and mean". It aims to be cost efficient for itself, all its membership categories, its suppliers of goods and services and Australian motorsport in general, while reducing the costs faced by those who participate in Australian motorsport at all levels.
The Australian Auto-sport Alliance has been established to be a service organisation to motorsport. Such service to be provided by avoiding red tape and unnecessary delay and utilising the Circuit Members' offices as a "one-stop shop", where motorsport participants can obtain permits, licences, fuel passbooks and all necessary documentation.
Insurance
The Australian Auto-sport Alliance Inc. has arranged cost effective insurance, including public and product liability, professional indemnity and personal accident. These insurances are provided by Lloyds of London syndicate associates Marketform (Syndicate 2468) and CNA Insurance Company (Europe) Limited (Company Market) in the UK and QBE Mercantile Mutual in Australia.
In order to negotiate reasonable insurance costs and avoid unfair cross-subsidisation, Australian Auto-sport Alliance has focussed its efforts to cover responsible events and activities on fixed circuits. It is the policy of the Australian Auto-sport Alliance to provide copies of all insurance details to each participating circuit, for general inspection on request.
