Classic car buff, Norm Bolitho, has released his team's new race car transporter, "Dennis the Menace", onto the highways and byways.

Built on a 1971 Dennis fire engine with a lengthened chassis, the unit is purpose-built to take the team's classic Volvo 142 or vintage Chrysler competition vehicles to motorsport events across Australia.

It features a unique dual cab design (sans any aerodynamics whatsoever) and has a 4.2 Jaguar twin overhead cam motor with a 5-speed transmission. Bostrom air ride seats accommodate the incredibly brave driver and his front seat passenger. Four persons can fit in the rear seat due to its width.

Other features of Dennis include a fold-out stainless steel workbench, gas barbecue, 12 volt fridge/freezer and a PTO driven air compressor.

Norm recently sold his immaculately-restored International Acco, originally owned by Allan Moffat, to classic race car collector, David Bowden. While Dennis the Menace lacks the same historical significance of the Acco, Bolitho believes it will be a star attraction in the pits at historic race meetings and classic car rallies.
