SOUTHERN CROSS RALLY REUNION - OCTOBER 2002

The envisaged format of the reunion will be :-

• Friday pm, October 18 - casual progressive arrival at the Country Comfort Motel (where we have a block booking of 50 rooms - this used to be the Travelodge and was Rally HQ in 1971, '73 & 74)... just talk and relax
• Saturday morning - relatively free. Suggested activities could include a town tour to see the changes, meet old friends and renew acquaintances, "go bush" on a Southern Cross Classic drive, assist in setting up the display of 'Cross memorabilia, watch the start of the State Championship rally, ... just reminisce and relax
• Saturday afternoon - join the locals, have a yarn, look at the displays, watch the videos of the Southern Cross, exchange phone numbers and addresses, autograph kids' (and adults') paraphernalia, ... just spectate and relax
• Saturday night - be a VIP with the dignitaries, be informal, ... just party and relax(?)
• Sunday morning - late breakfast with friends, tell us what you have been doing for the past two or three decades, hear what we are planning for the 2003 Southern Cross Rally for historic cars of the original 'Cross era, put in your tuppence worth, plan your next visit to Port, plan to stay a bit longer, ... just dream and relax
• Sunday pm, October 20 - progressive departure, or stay a while, take in part of the rally route on a Southern Cross Classic drive, have dinner with friends, ... just enjoy and relax

Whether you like it or not - you are part of history. Remember the older we get, the faster we were!
