The 'Cross is Back

The SOUTHERN CROSS RALLY program of events starts at 16:30 Thursday, March 11, 2004, with a Road Trial - the SOUTHERN CROSS CHALLENGE

A club road event for Gentlemen, and Ladies; touring the Hills and Valleys of the Hastings, the
Hinterland of Port Macquarie - at a leisurely pace - driving vehicles of the era - using roads familiar
to Cross competitors of the ‘Seventies. A Trial of Transport and Average Speed Sections with an
opportunity to hone a few navigation skills. Finish at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Port
Macquarie in time for supper. $275 entry fee* includes road book, insurance & levies for the 250k
event, dinner in a country hall, “cuppa” in the mountains, supper back at Port Macquarie, and for
the Sunday finale, two tickets to the Presentation Party following the 2004 Southern Cross Rally.

THE SOUTHERN CROSS RALLY - “THE REAL ROAD RALLY REVIVAL”
It is on! From 14:30, Friday March 12 to 13:00, Sunday March 14, 2004

The real thing begins at the Four Points by Sheraton, Port Macquarie and heads to the
hills for over 1000k (~550k competitive) on roads made so famous by the cars and
competitors of the ‘Cross in earlier times. Most pre-1981 2WD vehicles are eligible.
Entry fee* of $1375 covers almost everything except your vehicle and lodgings.
